A long-lasting basketball series finally comes to an end as the Miami Heat defeats the Boston Celtics to secure their spot at the 2023 NBA Finals. Led by NBA All-Star Jimmy Butler, Miami headed into Boston Garden Sunday as they prevailed 103-84.

The Heat’s road win came what it looked like an almost historic comeback from the Celtics after being down 3-0 to the series. However, Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra helped to get his team ready in this win or go home scenario.

“We stayed together as a group. As a team, we talked about going and getting a tough one on the road. We did just that,” Butler said. "But we’re not satisfied. We’re excited. We’re happy. But we’ve got one more to get.”

Butler led all scored with 26 points and seven rebounds. While Caleb Martin continued his impressive post season run thus far, recording a double-double. The undrafted forward tallied 26 pints and 10 rebounds.

For the Celtics, they two -star tandem of  Jayson Tatum and                                                                                                                            Jaylen Brown struggled mightily as the Heat steam rolled to                                                                                                                           a double-digit lead early in the first half. Miami continued                                                                                                                               the impressive shooting the floor throughout not letting the                                                                                                                           Celtics regain any momentum on their home floor.

Boston would shoot a merely 39 percent from the field as                                                                                                                                 they failed to record a 20-pont scorer. However, it would                                                                                                                                 seem Tatum was bothered by an ankle injury for the better                                                                                                                             most of the ball game which is believe happened within the                                                                                                                             first minutes in the first quarter.

Tatum would end up finishing the game 14 points and Brown recorded a team-high 19 points.

Now, the Miami Heat will look to continue to their unprobeable run as a No.8 seed to face the Denver Nuggets in a seven-game series to see who will raise the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy.
